I have a Jack Dempsey and I have had him about 9 months and for some reason he is swimming in circles upside down there are other fish in the tank with him and they are Jack Dempsey's as well but they don't seem to be having any problems so I dont think nothing is wrong with the water. What do you think is wrong? The pet store says he may be stressed but he looks fine he doesn't have any visible signs of stress it doesn't look like he has been fighting or anything. The aquarium is pretty big (55 gallons) so he has plenty of room. Please tell me whats wrong.

It sounds like he is, I'm sorry to say but I guess the only true test will be to wait to see what happens. Maybe the fish is just emo... :]

He may be about to die, fish usually do that when they are going to die. Wait and see what happens. :)
