That's enough to run MS Office and Explorer, but believe me, you'll soon see it's getting slower. Especially when they are now changing to making program and software ( includes new technology in writing webpages) that take advantage of dual core! And Vista is coming!

Yes.

If you are going to connect to the internet at all, use XP along with good anti-virus software, and keep the OS up dated with critical OS updates.
