move out, head for bd19, its far enough to not have the same hassle but near enough to not be moving too far from the friend/family/job you might already have. staying in bradford is not a good idea for any white person anymore. admit deafeat, we lost. Its fast becoming a rat infested dump anyway

I would seriously ask you to consider if the abuse is really racist, or is it just groups of (Asian) teenagers. If the police dont care, it is probably due to the fact they will have to do extra paper-work and would not like the attention they are giving you due to this being a racist call out. You are one of many people in this country terrorised on there front door step. Tell the police you are being harassed and keep a log and install a camera. Anyways, i hope you find peace.

This may constitute racial harrassment under the Crime and Disorder Act 1998. If there is a racist element to any other offence (such as violence, threatening behaviour, etc) this is an aggravating feature under the Criminal Justice Act 2003.

Keep trying the police, no-one should be abused and harrassed. If you haven't already, consider trying your local Safer Neighbourhood officer rather than the main police station / phone number - they have more of a remit for ensuring community safety and cohesion.

When you say abuse, do you mean verbal abuse or physical or are people destroying your property because you are a white Christian?
Who are the people bothering you. If it is an African American neighborhood I suggest you attend a local church service as there are plenty of African American Christian and as their sister in Christ I'm betting that they would have the best advice on how to handle a bigot as they have probably had much more experience with this problem. Same for any ethnic group here but it may have to be spiritual people of another faith.
If you can afford it move.
If it is physical call the police and if that doesn't work go to their supervisor.
Pray and have your friends pray for you. Don't resort to calling them names and arguing it will only escalate that way.
Try making friends in your neighborhood. There are bound to be open minded people in your neighborhood who will take under their wing so to speak.
Good Luck
Remember we aren't humans having a spiritual experience we are spiritual beings having a human experience.

Have you made a formal complaint at the police station as opposed merely to phoning them? Here is a link for making complaints and some response is supposed to be forthcoming. What you are describing are "hate incidents" and it is appalling that you have to put up with them. http://www.online.police.uk/english/default.asp

It seems to me that if the police are failing to treat your complaints as seriously as if you were of some other colour than white and of some other religion than Christian, you might be able to complain to the Commission for Racial Equality. You will find full details on their website http://www.cre.gov.uk/.

Keep a careful log of the relevant occurrences, dating them and quoting the exact words used (however unpalatable). Keep a note of complaints to the police and what is said and done. Make up your mind that you're not going to put up with this. Why should you?

If the police aren't doing anything you might have to get creative. Contact your local newspaper or TV station go for the sympathy vote in the hope they cover it and criticise the police for their inaction. If they do cover it you might have to end up moving anyway but at least you can get the problem looked at.

If you don't want any trouble, just move anyway.

It's sad but that's just the way it is Today- and you've got to put your kids first.

report it every day till the police get the message if you rent take a note of every crime reference no ( don't think enough white people do this it works both ways and if it doesn't time it did ) and go to your local housing department ..(if your lucky you will get a white person if you don't insist on one due to the sensitive nature of the complaint ) and ask to be moved that is if you want to be but unfortunately there are no guarantees what you might get next sorry good luck

The most important thing to do is make sure you have proof keep a diary and if possible video, audio proof and try and get witnesses. Once you have these present the evidence to the police if they still refuse to take action contact your local Council and MP and then watch them get their act in order

cut your losses and move out...

I'm sorry, i'm not a racist, but bradford is an area that has been wrecked by poor funding, the huge influx of racial groups which cause tension... because lets face it... the races DO NOT integrate... look at a school for proof, the black, asain and white kids all generally sit together in their own groups.

Move out, i strongly recommend it... your a white minority in your own country in your own area... i think we may have to get used to that fact in some areas... especially Bradistan.

What sort of racist abuse? I'm furious for you. If you're telling me that the minority groups are being racist to you, then I'm shocked and appalled. MAKE the police care, speak to white ones, write to your local MP, go to the papers...or better still, threaten to go to the papers whilst you're speaking to the MP and police.
