What is a good online rpg game?

Question

I am interested in a game that I can play when I am bored. I like the games that you do not just play once. I like ones where you want to play again to achieve a goal. Preferably on the internet (no download). Any ideas?

Also I do not want to have to download anything, just online.

runescape.com - very addicting for some people, but not for me cuz im not into video games

World of warcraft really takes the biscuit for that whole market really (although the subcription costs suck)

I'd recommend for a budget on-line RPG, you buy Diablo 2, theres no on-line charges... I think the servers are still running and RPG wise it's the dogs and failing that it works perfectly fine as a stand alone thing too.

Runescape is alright but the graphics are rather poor. I prefer Dofus, good graphics, lots of quests, and it has a lot more variety.

For people who dont want to pay its runescape
for people who will pay its world of warcraft
I say that i prefer Runescape.
