I know its tough, but you will pull through. Start looking for a job, being productive now is important, it gives you a sense of self worth. If you like church find one and make some friends there, or find some civic orginization to belong to, or volunteer your time, this will help you feel less lonely. Pray also.

Get evaluated by a medical professional. Meanwhile - can you be looking for a job? Meeting new people? Don't know what your situation is, but there's always a way to put some enjoyment into your life; kinda depends on what appeals to you. If you're an "active" person - do "active" stuff; hiking, jogging, rock-climbing. If you like nightlife - start going out. If you enjoy reading - join a book club. Many hobbies are conducive to meeting new friends; do you like animals? history? dancing? camping? Try searching online for clubs and organizations in your area that have to do with your interests. Are you religious? Churches are great social outlets. Volunteering is also a nice and low-cost way to get involved in a community. Good luck.

Ways to relieve your depression:
Get some sun. The rays of the sun will give you energy and also vitamin d. Most people who are depressed don't get enough sun. Why do you think Hawaiins don't suffer from depression? They are always out sunbathing and enjoying life!
Eat salmon. Salmon has positive effects.
Eat DARK chocolate. Eat 3 pieces of DARK chocolate and see how you will feel :-) (milk chocolate will not do anything)
Get some exercise. Take a walk in the park, for instance. Or if you do not have time to exercise, next time you go shopping, park your car furthest away from the store/building and furthest from all of the cars, this will force you to walk and get exercise. Also, instead of taking the elevator, take the stairs instead.
Getting some exercise will release endorphins in your body aka "happy hormones".

Well, I am very familiar with OCD and depression. First off you may need meds. It will help to make sense of your life again and help to work out what may be causing the depression. That I believe it a a must. Sometimes we get too deep and need an lil help out. Its ok. Does not make you weak at all. Some of us have different brain chemistry and need a lil help. There are medications out there just for OCD . Reach out for help. Blessings to you and will pray for your recovery. God has your best interest, I know that.

start working on urself. u are the Most Important thing right now.... and once u "Fix" that, u can develop and cultivate a whole network of family and friends around u, so that u will find other things that are important to you!
my advice for u would be to first work on urself, AS YOU LOOK FOR NEW JOBS!!!!!!:
ur Appearance: work out, exercise, join a gym... run around the neighborhood.... find clothes, makeup and hair that are Flattering to you. the Better u FEEL about ur appearance, the less u have to worry about meeting people right? :)
ur Mind: study more, read more, learn more. develop activities and hobbies, join classes. be able to discuss current events and carry on great conversations w/ Anyone! the Better u Feel about your knowledge, the easier it will be for you to speak to others, even strangers.
ur Relationships: w/ your family, friends, and eventually strangers. since u are alone and don't have friends around u, try to join some groups, like church or art class, or gym class. be confident and comfortable about yourself enough to be able to withstand rejection.. sometimes it is a numbers game, and u have to strike out before u meet some Nice People. esp in a new surroundings!
good luck~~ don't give up on urself. no matter what, the more Positive, Healthy and Happy u are, the easier it will be for u to find similar minded people, and the easier it will be for u to bounce back!

Why don't you get a pet. An animal, cat or dog will bring you companionship. They will be there for you always. They don't judge you, and when you are feeling down, they will help you to be happier! You can go to your local humane society and adopt a pet. Good Luck!

Excercise helps me when I am down. Actually, they have studies that suggest that excercise helps with depression.
And don't be afraid to ask others for help.
