You can study Zoology at Trinity college in Dublin, N.U.I, Galway, and in U.C. Cork. Trinity College probably has the best reputation in Ireland. You do not specialize in zooology until your final year ( You must study it through an undenominated science degree programme). There are elements of zoology to other courses, such as marine science in N.U.I., Galway, enviornmental science etc..

you'll need a science subject at leaving cert, and about 350-420 points depending on the course.

Come to Liverpool, the university of liverpool runs a zoology bsc, and it is handy for travel links back to Ireland.

after all scousers are just irish people that can swim (kidding).

Seriously though, Liverpool is a great city, we have lots of resources for students and there is a thriving irish popluaition.

To do Zoology at university you will need A'levels in Biology and/or Chemistry English Maths Physics at grade C or above, but there used to be an access course run by the university if these grades are not met called the 2+2 Bsc in Zoology, you do one and ahalf years in a college learning general information relevant ot your course and then joint studies at Liverpool uni, you get the proper honors degree an everything.

Other unis to try are Bangor in North Wales (lovely place very quiet but hughe nightlife and brillian facilites) Swansea and Portsmouth (dont go there, too may sailors and STDs)

I hope you keep your dream alive with Zoology, I did and it was the best thing ever good luck dude!!!!

UCL (university college london) is apparently the best uni in London to study Zoology. A friend of mine studied there, getting a 2:1 and going on to do a PhD which she is currently doing!

Trinity (TCD) has a great zoology department, its also right in the centre of Dublin so very easy to get there. The first year you do general subjects to get a feel for it and than when you find something you like you can specialise.

Surely the UCAS website will have the best information? Or google Irish universities and see what comes up.
