well i don't know if its right to answer this question coz i'll b doing ur homework.anyway...slope of a line is the gradient.so just remeber the formula:
Slope/gradient of a line (x1,y1) (x2,y2) is calculated as

(y2-y1)/(x2-x1) which gives (7-4)/(6-8)=3/(-2)

which implies the slope is -3/2 or -1.5
