The Dems continually sell the line that Clinton was responsible for the economic success of the 1990's with no mention of the Republican Legislature that ACTUALLY caused it.

Why do people swallow this line from Democrat talking heads as "fact."

Are they just not educated enough? Or has it ben repeated so many times by the media that it has essentially become an oft repeated myth taken as self-evident truth?

Because they refuse to accept the fact that Bush has done a lot of good things for this country.
A lot of people accept this because it's the only side they get from the mainstream media.

Veto power. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. No i don't love you, you wish. Can you say "Madam Speaker"? That would be Nancy Pelosi. Now she's a FOX. Sen. Edward Kennedy said it well "Today is really a referendum on Bush's handling of the war in Iraq".
Speaking of being "not educated" the minimum wage increase passed in Ohio, as I knew it would. So much for your wisdom on that issue. Now 23 States have a higher than $5.15 per hour rate.
Now you can make $6.85 in Ohio... You should read some about the minimum wage in the 23 States who have not lost any jobs or had a decrease in employment numbers as a direct result.

Do you forget about Clinton's ecomonic team, and the fact that he signs bills and had veto power, and also was known for being solutions oriented, and also was good at working in a bi-partison basis.

After six years of Shrub, people forgot how our government is supposed to work. Throw the bums out!!

You might be referring to the OMNIBUS BUDGET RECONCILIATION ACT OF 1993.

It was passed with ZERO republican votes. The "contract with America" republican congress didn't take office until January of 1995 but that doesn't stop Newt Gingrich from trying to take credit for the 1993 bill.

maybe it's been a little long for people to remember, but Clinton was one of the best presidents about stepping over party lines and working with everyone to come up with a solution.. in other words just because the legislation had to start in congress doesn't mean Clinton didn't have a hand in what was said.

Because they want to. Remember Clinton and Gore taking credit for legislation that was part of the Contract with America (such as welfare reform). Gotta laugh at that one!

Your average pro-wrestling believing idiot always assumes that the president must be responsible for the economy one way or the other. They get blamed good or bad, and it has at one point or another benefited both parties when they didn't deserve it.
