Ditto NYT Sunday is the hardest of the mainstream x word puzzles
There are some crazy variants available across the internet, multiple language ones are just nuts!!
YES, I use any research tool I can
the NYT is VERY HARD
If I were doing a puzzle as competition, like with people at work or in church, I wouldn't 'cheat'
cheat is too harsh a word!

The Wall Street Journal puzzle is the most difficult. Too bad it only comes out on Fridays. Besides, the Journal runs circles around the Times journalistically.
And no, I don't do references/internet. To do so is cheating. I'd rather leave a puzzle unfinished. I will, however, ask a friend, if I believe he/she will know the answer.
