Is the time before Christmas more enjoyable than Christmas itself? I think the feeling of the season, seeing the stores dressed in Christmas attire and the general feel of giving, is better than the day itself because the day just signals the end.

I always prefer getting ready for Christmas to the holiday itself.

I would have to agree with you! I think the season is so much more enjoyable and I find it a bit depressing once it is all over. I suppose that is why I enjoy listening to Christmas music in October! I want the season to be stretched out as much as possible.

Some people think I am crazy, but I get excited when I see Christmas items in the store in September and Christmas trees up in October. I think it's a beautiful season for family and friends, shopping and baking, music and parties... it's just a wonderful time of year. Then, Christmas day comes and you kind of feel down because you know it's all over now.

I definitely enjoy the fun of the season .

I love christmas season, and so does everyone else because it seems like every year the lead up to it gets longer, I think this year the kick off will be before thanksgiving! I love to walk through a crowded store/mall and see all the decorations and people and children looking at them bright eyed! Its taht kind of season that you wish could never end! Everyday you want to be one of those perfect days where you go shopping, come home make a few handmade gifts as well, wrap them, then sit down to a cup of hot chocolate and some cookies and watch a christmas classic! I love the Holidays!

I think so. But where is it written that you have end everything on Dec 25? Yule (which was the predecessor to Christmas) is celebrated beginning Dec 21 and going to approximately Jan 6 or thereabouts. Start your own traditions and make the season last longer if you hate it ending on the 25th.

I actually have to agree with this one. I mean I still love the day itself but all that build up with the shopping and lights and so on. Tis the season!!!
