How do you explain the undone laundry pile to your spouce when they get home?

Blame it on the pixies that live under the carpet. Say they came out just as you finished and rumpled all the clothes again. Tell him you want to move a house with good pixies that help you and not these evil ones.

Ok, I do understand what you are asking. Just tell him the truth. Why you didn't have the time to do it. If you are working outside the house tell him that you could use help doing the laundry, or some of the other house work, so that you will have time to do the laundry. If he resist, then tell him, that he will have to deal with it for the way it is for the time, and when you can find the time to do it, then is when it will get done.

It's best to tell the truth whatever it may be. If your busy doing something else jsut tell him you were busy. I just simply tell my spouse I was visiting my mother or the mall or the sofa- All of the truth when it comes to housework. If I don't wanna do it, I am not going to do it. If it needs to be done that bad he will do it.

You shouldn't have to they are not your boss or parent. Come on now if you are old enough to have a spouse then you or old enough to tell them that if they want it done so badly they can do it themselves.
