You will need a wireless router and have some way to connect *that* to the internet:
unless you're planning on using someone elses wireless internet connection (possible if - for example - your next door neighbour has a wireless router which isnt protected with a password)

My connection is pretty common. I have a cable connection and NTL is my internet provider. I have a wireless router which is connected to my cable box.
