Do you also have a *slight* feeling of sadness hearing their music or seeing any of their movies since we've lost both John & George?

I do. :(

Lucky for us, most of their songs are positive & uplifting...

It's funny, I don't even think of them as deceased. They were so lively when they were alive that it's kind of unbelievable to even begin to face the awful truth.

Since I wasn't alive when John Lennon died and wasn't a fan when George Harrison died, I don't feel the sadness when listening to their songs. When I listen to Alice in Chains however (I like a lot of different kind of rock), I feel kinda depressed due to the fact that Layne Staley died.

The Beatles music is often uplifting and for me it is just a celebration of rock in general. Since most bands have been influenced by the beatles directly or indirectly, I listen to their music with respect and admiration .

I am a huge Beatles fan. Always have been. Although I was only 2 when John Lennon died, I have spent all these years studying, learning, listening and growing in sincere appreciation and admiration for everything that the Beatles accomplished and gave the world musically and otherwise. There will never be any band that will touch the level that the Beatles created.

I listened to Beatles since I was a small girl (I'm was born in 1955) and was living in New York when Lennon got killed...that was really sad :-) but listening to their music makes me more nostalgic than sad...there's so many great musicians dead today, unfortunately (Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrisson, Steve Ray Vaughn etc, etc)

A new movie is coming out;;
And its basically a musical told thru Beatles' songs.
I am most excited.

Also, Cynthia Lennon wrote a book about John.
It is really good.
I have read it 3 times and have only had it for about a month.

...I was a big fan of their when I was a kid. My dad, who had no interest in them whatsoever, took my sister, her friend and me to see them in concern at DC Stadium, I think it was in 1965.
...Their early songs, by and large, were sweet love songs. As time went on, they became more wild, political, and some were downright nasty. Some of their songs were very beautiful (what easy listening station could do without a dentist-office-pop version of "Michelle"?)
...They were all very creative, especially Paul McCartney, but I just wish they would have laid off the pot, LSD, and dope - I wish we could have heard them when they were sober.
...They even wrote a song (Come Together) for Dr. Timothy Leary's (the college professor who loved LSD and who encouraged students to "tune in, turn on, and drop out.") campaign for President, I think it was. Oh, well....
...I do listen for their names. I'm sorry for what Sir Paul is going through with 2nd wife. He and Linda stayed together through thick and thin, and gave us good example - rare in this day and age among celebrities.
...I was never a real fan of John Lennon, although he did write some sweet stuff. I could never buy his "Imagine" song - he sounded like an atheist. It was full of nice-sounding words, but very unrealistic and impossible concepts - we must have laws, armies, and government, and religious faith really serves to bridle the evil in men, and give them a moral compass.
...I am kind of sorry George Harrison didn't get more album space - I thought he was good too - I like many numbers on "All Things Must Pass".
...Ringo even did some good stuff (like Photograph and It Don't Come Easy). I think he just liked playing music.
...Last, I wish they had acted more favorable toward the Lord; I am born again believer in Christ. I urge all to believe on Jesus and be saved.
(Acts 16:31)

I just heard on the radio today that Paul is getting a divorce. Such a shame, but I think Linda will always be the love of his life.
