I visited London about a year and a half ago, and I had a great time. It's located in a great spot. There are a lot of places you can visit both inside and outside of the city or country. When I went, I was able to fly to Dublin real cheap and spend the day in Ireland.

And I also think it's a great way to experience another culture and another country without the fear of a language barrier. If it's going to be your first time out of the country, it can be a little intimidating. Having everyone speak the same language as you (not to mention all the signs, etc.) makes the transition a lot smoother.

And most importantly, the transportation system is great. It was easy to get around and consistent. I was able to get everywhere I needed to be just taking the Tube.

I really hope you enjoy your trip next year. Just remember to save up a lot of money. The exchange rate cut my money in half when I went and I can't imagine it has improved much since then.

I was born there during the War Blitz of 1942.
I was taken from outside my home by a stranger when I was 4 years old.
I was kept for 2 days in an abandoned air raid shelter.
I was raped and worse.
I live with the memories and triggers even today.
I am 63 years old and I have never been able to scream.

I do not love London.

Sorry, but I have to tell everyone I can. It is a therapy to get rid of the feelings I still suffer.
I have to scream before I die or he will win.

Today London is a probably the most vibrant City in the world. It is the most visited City in the world and offers thousands of historical landmarks.
I truly hope you have a wonderful visit.
