so i have random porn dowloaded on my hard drive. i am the only one that uses this computer and i did not download it. any suggestions on how it got there and how i can keep it from happening again?

most likely spyware or virus...
do a virus scan "avg free" works well
also get spybot and ad-aware to scan for spyware

Some RAM/ hard drive problems can be easily fixed yourself by using easily available tools. I found the info at http://fixit.in useful.You may be having a virus or spyware installed on your PC. Norton, AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at

are you sure you didn't do it? are you the 1st person to own the computer? someone else could have done it. You can set parental controls on your computer, or you can secure it with a password.

Lavasoft Ad-watch, download that and most of your problems should be solved. Its free too.
