It appears to be new, has a new lining somewhat perished at the bottom. I think it has been made for someone. It only cost me 20 euros. It is long somewhat rough hair, grey brown and black in the middle.

Wear it at night during a full Moon and see if you feel like howling

Open a small space in the lining and check to see if it is in fact leather on the back of the material as well. 20 Euros sounds pretty cheap for a wolfskin coat, more like the cost for a pigskin coat.

A dry cleaner may be able to help identify the material if you don't have a furrier or taxidermist local to you.

Does it look like it was shot, entrails cut out and skinned? If so than you got a good deal on a dead animal.

Gosh, I hope not. Fur belongs on the animal, not on people. but if you have to know, a furrier can tell you.
