Is there a point you are trying to make? Because I don't think anyone would really say winning an election is more important that saving lives or the environment. Because this is in the politics section I will go further. The Democrats are typically a little more environmentally friendly and there will likely be more lives lost if the Democrats are in office (worldwide, because thinking of only American lives is selfish). So, how about the question, do you favor the environment more than lives?

Saving the environment but politicians care about winning the election. You were asking in reference to the new voting machines, right?

Saving lives and the enviroment is more important. But the question is, can you do that unless you win the election? Often, winning the election is the path to doing the others. For example, will be get legislation to limit CO2 production with a GOP congress? I don't think so.

Of course saving the environment and lives are more important, but you know, sometimes you have to win an election to accomplish these things.

Do you notice that this administration has not focused much if any time on the environment, and people really don't care. They say they do , but still drive around in a two car family, don't car pool or take public transportation, I'm excluding the ones who don't work down town, there is no major rail systems in major cities , except for a few, we as a people like to have our own little worlds around us to make us feel safe and protected, this is our major cause of pollution in this country. If the wrong people get elected, there may not be many people left alive to care about the environment. Do you think terrorists care about the environment. Get your priorities straight.

Both are important. In order to save the environment, we need laws that lay out conservation and protection. In order to get those laws we need to elect officials that represent what the people want. The two issues go hand in hand.

If you lose the election, you can't implement policies that save lives or improve the environment. It's not either/or.
