Yes, because the people in Iraq needed to be rid of Saddam Hussein. He was just an evil man who killed a lot of innocent people. Iraq deserves to have a democracy over a dictatorship.

I do now and have always supported our troops. I do not support the war in Iraq. I would support a war on terrorism if there was a way to fight terrorism and not use it as an excuse to make war.

First, as a veteran I will always support our troops. I do support the war on terrorism. That means I support our activities in Afghanistan. I do not support the war in Iraq. All US intelligence agencies, English intelligence agencies, and the President have stated that Al Queida were not active in Iraq. Of course the same President has continuously tried to infer the two are connected.
We will never defeat terrorism by imitating the terrorists. We will not win as long as we continue to trample on the very rights that make our country different and bend the facts in order to invade foreign nations. The more we become like them the more they become the victors.

I used to support the war, but now, I think it's causing more trouble in Iraq than any of the problems originally. I think the best thing for all would be to pull all troops out.

I do support our troops, but not the war. We as a country have nothing to gain from Iraq.

Of course everyone supports the troops.
The problem I have with all the above replies on the war
in Iraq, is back in 2002/3 when US built up the army in the GUlf and invaded Iraq, the approval rating was very high, most people in US were for it, and both democrats and republicans in Congress supported it. If someone disagreed with invading
Iraq at that time, you were labelled a traitor. I was against it at that time and against it now.
Now, most people are against it!! Why is the US population not angry at their leaders for getting involved in a such a terrible war,
and misleading the american people about the reasons for the war. This is treason!! Why the about face now - just because the going now is getting tough? Its all hypocrisy to me.

I'll always support our brave soldiers, as well as our allies, but they themselves never made the decision to go to war. I think the allies were correct to take a stand against the Taliban in Afghanistan, but I believe Iraq is the price that people on both sides are paying for what is essentially a feud between the Bush dynasty and their former business partners.

I'm a veteran. Of course, I support our troops and always will. I've known too many Vietnam veterans who endured constant threat of death from the VC just to be spat upon, cursed, and reviled when they stepped onto U.S. soil! I NEVER want that to happen to one of OUR troops in OUR country again!
Disagree with the war if you wish (it is your Constitutional right, after all), but DON'T take it out on the troops. Take it out on the politicians who are in charge of sending them there, if you must take it out on someone.
Especially don't EVER desecrate the funeral of one of our fallen by saying "he got what he deserved." The word "trash" to label filth like that is offensive to garbage!
BTW, I do agree with our conduct of the war on terror. We need to keep the fight on THEIR turf, not OURS. I just wish the generals were allowed to run the war instead of the politicians. That's obviously one lesson we did NOT learn from Vietnam. We need to play to WIN, instead of "playing not to lose."

Yes I support our troops, and the war. I'm not sure how much good we're doing, but I think we have a responsibility to try to make things better. I am really glad that we got Saddam, what a horrible man, and I'm sure there are hundreds just like him over there.........
