I can’t speak for everyone, but Saddam’s sentence was given to him by an Iraqi court. Under Iraqi law he has been convicted of a capital crime. It is completely up to the Iraqi people to decide what punishment he should suffer for his crimes against the Iraqi people. I personally think hanging is too good for him after what he did to hundreds of thousands of innocent people.

Who cares about him, if he hangs or not?. He is a done deal. I don't think his followers will cause any problems for the U.S. at home. However, a lot more people died since the U.S. invaded Iraq than during his terrible rein of terror. What does that tell you, and who bears the blame? I would say the U.S. is morally responsible. The U.S. can't just walk away from the huge can of worms it opened in Iraq. If a solution is not found pretty soon there, the ill-effects will spread to the rest of the world, the U.S. included.

I thought Saddam had nothing to do with terrorism. Why would violence increase when he gets what he deserves? Any sane person knows the world will be a better place when he's gone. Terrorists don't need fuel for their hate anyway. If someone already wants to torture and kill you, can they get any angrier?

I am shocked by the verdict.I really thought he would get off.I am glad he is being punished but I don't think it will happen. As for an excuse for an attack? They have never needed a reason before so most likely they will.

you can't learn as much from a dead man.. and I'm not sure how it is wrong to support life.. .. i say chain him up in a big arena during the day and give him some safety goggles and give everyone in the crowd a shot at him with pellet guns :).. death is easy.. it's all over when he's dead.. where's the punishment in that?.. not like he'll remember dying and be tormented by it... no.. better to keep him alive and learn from him.

Yes, I think he should be executed.
No, I don't think it will cause any more terrorist attacks in the US. But it WILL cause more terrorist attacks against US servicemen in Iraq.

Geez.... ought to I even hardship??? Your consumer-friendly question is invalid. saddam grew to become into no longer killed by using fact he killed one hundred people. He grew to become into killed by using fact he grew to become into discovered accountable of against the regulation in his u . s .. Bush has been accused of many stuff, ordinarily by using fact many do unlike his politics. those accusations are in keeping with thoughts somewhat than certainty. Signing a petition won't get Bush impeached. Petitions are for "bear in mind' of interior sight politicians whilst the interior sight persons do no longer approve of their overall performance. Impeachment courtroom cases are initiated by potential of congress whilst there is information of criminal incorrect doing.... as whilst Clinton lied under oath, or whilst Nixon grew to become into in touch with unlawful wiretaps at Watergate lodge.

I don't really believe in the death penalty, I don't think two wrongs make a right. He did do many terrible acts of torture and murder against people though. I am happy I didn't have to be on the jury.
