Planetology, we are basically energy moving around the earth, this has been very well emphasised in the book Dune but i will continue. If we have a freeflowing energy form all you need is 3% of the surface area of a planet covered in vegetation and 7% water to make a completely different planet. Also you can harness it with synergenetics and make a outlet source into a heat aqua source.

ATP is the energy used in respiration it can be used for cell functions such as primary active transport it can also be used in glycolysis which is the first step in the cell respiration cycle
