I think you got your question mixed up. Republicans have always supported gun ownership.... That's part of the problem... They support any kind of gun ownership whereas; Democrats would take away your dart gun if they could.
Defaming the constitution is an odd way of describing a position. I think both parties screw up the constitution daily in the name of freedom. That probably won't stop in our life time.

HUH?? Which Republicans are you referring to? Apart from President Bush and some Congressmen, the average Conservative does NOT support illegal aliens in our country. Most Republicans support 2nd Amendment rights.

I love guns and have a permit to carry as do all my Republican friends. It was Diane Feinstein who proudly pushed the ban on assault weapons by removing the flash suppressor and bayonet mount. Ha Ha

I think you are confused...republicans don't support gun control. They are firm believers in the right to bear arms. They also don't support illegal immigration...that's the democrats too.
