oven? what one?
if its a microwave, get it seen to or throw it away. DO NOT OPEN A DOOR TO A MICROWAVE IF THE CUT OFF SWITCH ISNT WORKING!
you will get lethal radiation through you.

If it is a microwave, the first answer is right. If it is a convection oven, the blower should stop when the door is opened. The door switch needs to be adjusted or replaced. If it is a regular oven ,not a problem.

Yep, they do that. Keep it closed or you'll affect your cooking time. Buy a bulb and peek through the little window. If you must open it, do it briefly.

that is what it is suppose to do. It shuts off when the temp setting is met and when you turn the knob to of.
