If there were players in the NBA that were his height, then you would see a lot more players with verticals jumping out of the gym like him. You cannot compare any body's hops to that of Spud Webb. The dude was shorter than my legs. I'm exaggerating but he was short, and to get to the basket he had to jump very high. Guys now are on an average of 6'6" and above, why do they need to jump 44" to dunk the ball. But to get your answer right, yes the dude from New York last year jumped higher then him. His name is Nate Robinson. Look it up on NBA.com

ahm, im not really sure bout this,but VINCE CARTER definitely has the talent.. remember when he jumped over the 7-footer european player in the olympics?and 7' is 84"...his hand was way over the rim and his feet definitely rose higher than the player's head...man, that's why he's called 'half-human, half amazing'.

i know someone who can jump higher than that but he is already a legend and he is not from nba...but if he was not into drugs,, he might be in the nba,,,i cant remember his name but people call him the "goat"... isaw it in a film , of course its a true story,,,if you placed a dollar coin on top of the board he can easily get it...he is the founder of HARLEM

idk for sure but i wouldnt count out vince carter...he can soar and can definalty get over 40 inches...as of right now hes the highest jumper in the nba
