Polar bears are much bigger than tigers. On an avarage, a polar bear is 5 ft taller than a tiger. Besides both are predetors, so both has killer moves up their sleeve. So I would imagine the polar bear has some advantage. Now the question is where would the duel take place? Tigers are used to warmer climates, polar bears may be in trouble there. On the other hand, if the fight is held at the polar bear's domain in the poles, the tiger would be shaking too much in cold to put up a decent fight.

Note that while polar bears and tigers live in different environments, tigers do share part of their natural range with the Asiatic brown bear, essentially the same species as the American grizzly, and nearly as big as polar bear in some cases.

Tigers leave them alone - but then, the bear won't go out of its way to bother the tiger either!

Fights are nearly always avoided by predators if at all possible; an injury effectively means starvation if it impairs hunting ability, especially for solitary hunters like tigers and bears.

Let's look at the facts for both, why don't we....?
(all statistics for fully grown males)
Siberian tiger~
Weight: 700 lbs.
Length: 9-10.5 feet

Polar bear~
Weight: 1300 lbs.
Height: 10-11 feet

In conclusion, a polar bear is much stronger and larger, and would therefore win a fight.

Can you remember the John West salmon advert where the fisherman and bear start fighting over a salmon and the bear gets his fists up and does an Ali shuffle before the fisherman kicks him in the balls?it was great but only shown a couple of times before it was deemed to be cruel..some miserable folks out there. Anyway I think the bear would come out tops just as long as the tiger didn't get his bollocks...unless it was a lady bear I suppose.

Depends where the fight is.
If it was in the polar bears back yard, then the poor tiger would freeze it's nuts off and be to slow to react in a fight.
If it was in the tigers back yard, the the polar bear would be so hot and uncomfortable it too would not be able to defend itself properly.

Polar bears however are dirty fighters and are known to kick their opponents in the bollocks occasionally!
