Like yourself I have heard this story throught my childhood...Im just curious as to where it may have come from...any ideas

Bloody Mary was actually a real person. She was Queen Mary I of England. She persecuted the Protestants and executed hundreds of people, hence the name.

The legend of Bloody Marie is from the late 1800s when King Something killed all his wives because they were only giving him daughters and he wanted a son. It originates from Queen Mary Tudor herself. This ruler sentenced so many people to death in her unusually short reign that she was quickly dubed Bloody Mary.

it first came from quenn elizabith the 2 and shes bloody marry and all of its true of when people say this thing in the bathroom she does actually come and kills you!!!!!!!!
