I like radiators, but do not have them right now. Electric fires are horridly expensive.
If you are looking for a room heater, not for the whole house, you might look at the energy ratings on all. There are heated oil heaters that are electric. I have seen them in use, and they do work nicely.

For heating a room the most effecient heat is electric, such as space heaters or baseboard. This is not necesessarily the cheapest or most cost effective. I believe the most cost effective is gas for central heating. What is the application? A single room or a whole house?
