My kids are questioning my lack of interest in the whole political scene. I have never been a registered voter, I don't follow politics at all. I do not complain about the government as I dont vote so I have no business complaining. I encourage my children to take part of the process if they have an interest. They just think it is so weird that I dont do these things. I'm not the only one am I????

FYI "Bush worst president ever" I am not overweight, I never eat fast food and I am dying to know where on earth you get FREE porn. Oh, probably from your crooked politicians they have more sex scandals than the average soap! Its extremists like you that make people like me totally uninterested in politics. Now I know I am doing the right thing!

I don't think its unusual. I didn't start voting until a few years ago myself. Some of us do and some of us don't. I think thats our right. However, as you stated, you don't complain. Thats a good thing. As long as you have decided to keep your distance from the political arena, then technically, you don't really have a voice to complain when things go all to hades. Encouraging your kids to participate is a good thing, but they learn by what you do. They may take up the attitude you have about it and not participate either. But again, thats your choice.

Unusual..no. You're a typical apathetic citizen that apparently doesn't care how the country is run, who is elected, etc But that's OK. You're entitled to your apathy and not everyone is interested in politics, registers to vote or even votes if registered.

But you are one of the few non-voters who understands that if you don't vote then don't complain. Good for you.

i do not follow the politics that much but when it comes to voting and they do have a debate i do listen to them so i do know who to vote for and who i should not. You can still vote an not follow the politics that closely i do not follow them that closely my self but if you do want your kids to vote then you should too.
im sure you are not the only one who does not vote
least you do not complain though thats a good thing some ppl who did not vote complain so least since you didnt that is a good thing that you do not complain.

Then why are you even asking a question in
the political section...shouldn't you be in the
parents/child section or whatever it is that interests you?

You sound to me like a
typical (overweight) American...
Don't care about nothing
but their fast food
and free porn...sad...

Obviously you aren't the only one - but you have no right to complain when the political climate doesn't go your way, because you are doing nothing to instigate change.

deary this isnt unusual! I HATE THE PRESIDENT! and me saying that doesnt hange anything, your vote doesnt matter all that much unless its a tie and yours breaks it, but then again if u need a recount like bush so he can win, your vote would matter. its your FREE right to do waht u want to. i hate politics i hate the u.s. but w/e this is where i live and i deal with like you.

Sadly, not uncommon at all. But it is something you should be very ashamed of yourself for.
