I agree with snagelfritz. Whatever motor oil meets the specifications listed in your owner's manual will do just fine. Every oil claims it is the best. A factor vastly more important than the oil brand is changing it and the oil filter regularly. This will help keep your engine running for 200,000+ miles.

There will be many opinions on this. Consumer Reports (Not sure how reliable they are) tested oils and found they all good if a person do regular oil changes. I have used whatever oil I found cheap for years and never had any trouble, even before I read the report. Heck, I know a guy used Vegetable Oil to see what happen and there was no problem, it actually more expensive, but, he did this for research. So, it a matter of opinion to me, use what you feel is good. Havoline, Exxon, Pennzoil, Super Tech (Wal-Wort Brand I guess) etc.

I have fond Castro oil or Valvoline to be good oils. I have also found Pennzoil Quaker state to leave sludge if regular oil changes are not done

Synthetic, like Mobile 1. It's lubes better, doesn't break down like petroleum based and holds up better in extreme heat and cold.
