well this isn't something so much that we do together as a family. But when my siblings and i were younger, my family owned a Christmas tree farm. We would all go pick out our Christmas tree around October and tag it (we got early picks). Then when it was time we would bring it back to the house.
But while we were at the farm my dad would get us some tiny pathetic little trees. (basically just a branch) We called them Charley Brown Christmas trees. We would each have our own little trees for our rooms. My dad had also made us our own little Christmas tree stand.
After we had all decorated the big Christmas tree we would pick out our ornaments that were left over for our Charley Brown trees and decorate them. And Christmas morning there was always something small under them. This is something I hope to carry on when I have children.

Every Thanksgiving, we always go see a movie. Then we'll read a story about how the pilgrims came to America.
For Christmas, my family will sit on the doorstep with mugs of hot cocoa or tea and wait for my dad to come home. Then, the next morning, before we wake up, my dad'll be on the step with mugs of warm cider and we'll all go sit outside and sing Christmas carols for a couple of minutes.

Ever since Adam Sandler's 8 Crazy Nights came out, we watch that every Christmas. My family is Jewish, but since we're all off work on Christmas (and not always during Chanukah) we still get together and have a family meal.
