Blinking is a semi-involuntary movement. You can blink when you want to, but also you automatically do it, like breathing. Say on average you blink one time every 5 seconds. That is 12 times a minute that you blink. Follow the equation:

12 blinks per minute x 60 minutes per hour x 24 hours a day = 17,280 blinks per day. About. Give or take a blink. ;-)

You blink several thousand times per day. Blinking is an involuntary movement (you can't control it), so counting your blinks is impossible.
