I worked at a daycare for 2 years and we always had plastic and metal hangers... they can be used for:
*Bubble wands
*Dream catchers (make them round, weave yarn around circle... thread for the inside-cris-cross thread, add beads etc)
*We used them to hang things from while drying (hang up hangers, clothespin paintings etc to them to dry)
*Bead curtains better w/ bright colored plastic hangers, or paint the hangers(tie string to flat edge, bead it all the way up, tie knot at end.)
*We made ducks, cut out yellow paper, glue to hanger, curved part -used to hang hanger- was the head..)
Just be creative.

There are almost as many uses for clothing hangers as there are uses for duct tape.
Is the clothes hanger metal or plastic?
If it is metal.... you can:
* make a fishing hook or spear tool
* make a cat fishing pole
* stretch your piercing
*twist the wire with tools into any sculpture you can visualize and paint it.
* use the wire to write on clay
*experiment with a kite and electricity for free electroshock therapy.
*make an antennae for your tv or radio.
* make it into a mobile
* attach several pieces of the wire hanger to the tips of gloves to pretend to be a cat
* tie back your hair
* make a frame for a picture- intertwine several pieces of the wire
*use it for a base shape for paper mache
* make a barb wire fence
* repair the coils in your antique chair
* make a drumstick
* aerate the soil of your plants
* make a trellis
* collect stem cells?
If it is plastic...you can:
* recycle it if it is broken or repair it with duct tape
* file the points of 2 broken pieces and knit with them
* use it as a temporary splint
* train your dog to fetch it
* make a fashion statement

They are great for roasting hot dogs or marshmallows over an open fire.
They can be used to hang lanterns or flashlights when camping.
I've used them as a plumber's snake for unclogging a drain.
I can come up a dozen or so more if you need them :-)

the best thing you can use w/ them is to hang clothes!!
but if not-you can use it for an antenna for your car or t.v., to grab something that's out of reach etc.

I use them for puppets - I always get booed off stage though, so I really wouldn't recommend it. I'm helpful.
