Try to get set on at a local earth moving firm. Paddy and his shovel used to be a common sight but they are growing thin on the ground. (You will have to learn the proper way to have a fry-up using your shovel rather than a frying pan)

he poppy i hope this helps you out!

If you want a taste of the real world yet having fun why not be a support worker for young children you can guide them through lives decisions and help them with there choices. or trying any child work e.g nursery nurse etc...

it all depends on what you want to do hun. but whatever it is make sure your picking something you want to do, ok tc!

Write to your local police station...... they deal with the real world. My daughter did exactly the same when she was 15 and now she is 28 and has just done 5 years as a Police officer.

Most companies will be delighted to have someone who is - smart, attentive, interested, creative, enthusiastic, ambitious, keen, well spoken, so go and introduce yourself in areas you have an interest in.

Set up a poster with your photo on and your attributes - see above list - and hand them in to reputable companies and get them to contact a business e-mail address like

poppykeenasmustard@yahoo.co.uk

now stand back and wait for the offers to flood in, good luck

Unfortunately fun and real world generally don't go together in jobs. Try and go with something you are interested in yourself then you wil enjoy it more.

My friend's son did his work experience at the local undertakers - he loved it. I would suggest however that you pick a restaurant or cafe - the kids that did that earned a fortune in tips.
