I've lived in the same apartment for a couple of years now and the people that just moved in downstairs are just plain unreasonable. They argue with us over the most petty things: where I park my motorcycle. They don't want us to ever park our cars close to their front door. We are supposed to share responsibility for yard work. The other day they proceeded to mow exactly half of the lawn; which left a line down the middle of the back yard. She blocked our driveway with her car yesterday because she didn't like where we parked our car. She dumped lawn clippings all over my motorcycle because she didn't like where it was.

All of this is so juvennile. I'd think it was funny if it wasn't happening to me. Do I have any options here?

Yes, this is very juevenile on their part, and very disturbing. Not at all funny, very pathetic, they must be very unhappy and miserable human beings. I am sorry you are having to deal with them, however, greatful I don't have them as neighbors. I would contact my landlord and also make notes and take photos of their actions. This sounds very anal retentive, however, incase you have to take them to court. You will need the proof for the courts and also for the landlord. This hopefully, will be resolved by the landlord. Good luck to you! The world is full of all kinds and unfortunately you have got some of the most miserable individuals as your neighbors. God bless

Well a few late night parties on Sunday nights might help.. no seriously. Things like this can only be solved by talking to each other, and by the way it sounds, they are just unreasonable. Since you were there first, I suggest you talk to the landlord and tell them what you now have to put up with. You could also report them to the police for destruction of property.

The best approach is to try talk with them and do your best to befriend them. Otherwise this will only escalate.

I say that knowing that I would never be able to take that advice. So a second set of advice would be to fight fire with fire. If they throw lawn clippings on your bike, then throw cow droppings on their car. Basically what you have to do is escalate it several levels each time until they back down. Just so you know, this will end badly. Just do you best to be on top when IT hits the fan.

Talk to the landlord, you have been there longer maybe you have some pull. You can fight fire with fire or just get a police report of the harrassment that has been going on. Either way they are absolutely ridiculous and they need to grow up. People never cease to amaze me *shakes head* - two wrongs don't make it right tho! Good luck! God BLess!

Report them anonymously to the police that they are selling drugs out of their home. How about reporting them to Child Protective Services anonymously about abusing their kids (if they have any) and have their kids taken away or at least weekly surprise visits from Child Protective Services until their kids are 18? That is what I did to my neighbors at the last apartment I lived in before I moved into my new house. Worked like a charm!
I would be willing to bet that it would straighten them out and make their juvenile butts much more well behaved.

The way I see it, maybe YOU'RE the problem. Are you parking correctly...or have you just gotten away with parking wherever you want for years??

You could press charges on them for dumping the leaves on your motorcycle as being vandalism. The whole suit will probably be dismissed, but it will hopefully let them see how rediculous this is becoming.

If it was me, I would move, and get a house so I wouldn't have to worry about my rude neighbors.
