The next election will be held in November 2008, with the winner taking over for Bush in January 2009. Bush cannot run again since he has already been elected twice.

Two more years and Bush is gone. We will find out the front runners for the next presidential election in the next year or so. It's too soon now to be sure. Unfortunately, most (if not all) will be backed by big business as they can provide the necessary money to sustain a presidential campaign. That is not to say that big business is inherently evil, only that their interests will take precedence over the average Joe's. So as much as things change...they will remain the same.

On January 20, 2009 at noon, his successor will be inaugurated. Who that person is will be decided in November 2008 in the next presidential election.

wait..ur complaining to get george bush out of office..yet you dont know when the next presidential election is!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lets see, every 4 years...he went into office in 2000, relected in 2004...so that must mean next election is in 2008...a republican and a democrat are running for president..we dont know this yet..id like to see colin powell run for president, even though he wont, or rudy guiliani...as long as hillary doesnt win ill sleep well at night...and do me a favor, at least know what you are talking about before you pose a question to make it seem like you are against the president now..u cant be against him when ur not smart enough to know when the next election is

The next presidential election is in 2008. We're stuch with Dubya tuntil then. It's way too early to tell who might be the next president, but on the democratic side you have Hilliary Clinton, and Al Gore even John Kerry if he recovers, and others.. Republicans have Rudy G. John Mc Cain and others.

Well, if he is half the evil dictator that Democrats have screeched about, he will never leave office. But since reality is a great place he will leave after the 2008 elections.
