I bought my son one of the Step 2 kitchens last year - it is hunter green and tan. It looks a lot nicer in the house than those primary colors do. They have several different styles, and some new ones out just this year, so check them out. The new ones are brown/tan and brick red/tan. They are offering free shipping right now, for a limited time. Otherwise it costs about $25.

It has always been it seems that certain things are for boys and girls. But, it is not going to make the boy act funny or weird if he decides to roleplay house and being a daddy taking care of babies. I work in a preschool and the boys are all the time playing with the dolls and kitchen area. It enables them to act out how things are they see at home such as cooking, cleaning, caring for childre etc. It also rounds out them as a person too. The girls are found to be playing as much with the blocks and cars and tracks as the boys do. It is okay for boys and girls to play with the non-traditional version of toys. It does not mean they will be growing into weird adults.

Yeah, there are a couple of work bench style ones for boys.
Check Toys R Us's web site to see them.

Try looking up "kitchens" on the E-toys website. They have tons of options that are not to girly, including grills.

Basically you have football, toy cars, basketballs, lego blocks, and ships. If that don't work give video games a try.

Just get some spray paint, and paint it 'boy' colors! Put a couple NASCAR stickers on it, and you're good to go!
