Is anyone elses boyfriend a world of warcraft player?

I just don't get the fun of this game...shed some light please!

I was an avid WoWer for some time (from beta until a couple months ago) and found it very addictive. Of course, some people get into it way more than others. I've seen many people get too engrossed in it, causing problems in real life relationships, so I wish you the best.

My fiance is and so am I. you can't really judge the game untill you have atleast a lvl 10 character. :)

Here's the fun. You are presented with quests to complete (Some are as easy as delivering a letter). You have to either kill something, find something, give somethin to someone or save someone. You get into groups with people all over the world to work togeather. You join guilds to have even better teams. You obtain items to advance your character, and to let it "grow" in a way to become better, stronger and faster. You learn skills (mining, alchamist) and those skills help others grow (as well as yourself). It's really a gigantic role playing game with a huge social network intergrated into it. Really it's fun. There are alot of girls who play it.

Yes my fiance is, I didn't really understand at first what the big deal was about, that he spent 1/2 of the day playing it. Until, I started playing, he turned me into a nerd, and we spend most of night playing wow. I guess you just have to interested in the fantasy part of it, doing quests getting awesome armor! It's got to be the easiest rpg around. Try it, you might actually like it..

My best friend has a problem with her hubby being addicted to it. She even joined up to play just to have some sort of attention from him. It worked for a bit, but now she has returned to work from Mat leave, she is a busy mom of one boy, doing home studies for school upgrading, and still has to clean and cook etc...so now she is back to being lonely again as she does not have time to play. I tired it, but to be honest I quickly tired of and got bored of all the killing I had to constantly. I understand the fascination though. Mulitple online role play, real time play, real live people playing, and amazing graphics. Personally, I prefer to stick with Toon Town! Same idea, but you throw pies! :)

your best bet is just to get another boyfriend because it is going to be really hard for him to break him self from the game, "which is kinda stupid".
