I've had 3 - in 82,83 & 87. They were all the same. Each time they cut away the old scar and made a new one in the same place. Recovery was the same and maybe even easier because you knew it was going to hurt like crazy and you just moved on anyway.

I have only had 2 c-sections so far and plan on a 3rd soon.

My first c-section was very easy to recover from even though I had a horrible long labor and went under general anesthsia.

My second was planned and very easy but the recovery was horrible b/c I pushed myself too hard.

As long as you heal okay recovery isn't too bad. I would have preferred vaginal births by far but sometimes you don't have control over it. You do have to take it very easy for 4-6 weeks or you will not do well recovering. It is different each time.

My mother had a C-section with my brother. Her recovery went well and was "uneventful".

My daughter had one child naturally, however, her second was en "emergency" and they did a C-section. She was up and about within a day or two. She didn't seem to have any problems with her surgery. She also was able to have her third child "naturally" with no problems.

Hope that helps.

I had one, and it took a good 2 months to fully recover. My aunt had 3, and she said she actually recovered a little faster with the 2nd two. I think it depends on the person a little... I don't tolerate that kind of pain very well, so when I get pains here and there (after a year), it reminds me of how bad it was when those first couple of weeks.
