wikipedia is a peer based encylopedia ,that means anyone can write anything, dont rely on it for info? so why do u idiots do that? just curios

Probably because it's free and easy to use/navigate.

Actually it is rated as on par with the Encyclopedia Britannica by the New York Times. I have found it to be very reliable. People cannot just write anything. There is a very reliable board of scholars from all of the academic disciplines who review everything that is posted.

It's more up to date and wide-ranging than commercial encyclopedias. For example, people can add articles about brand-name products, latest trends, public personalities, etc. that conventional encyclopedias either don't cover at all or take ages to publish.

I was told that it is the most un-bias site to find info. I have never used it yet but I have heard it is reliable.
