I'm not pregnant, but my husband and I are trying. I was wondering the stories ya'll had about how you told your partner. Or if you can think of any creative ideas. I had a miscarriage in September and my hubby was heart broken. Now that we are trying again I want to make it as special as possible.

Thanks for your thoughts in advance.

I'm sorry for your loss - I went through one as well, but now have a little screaming, giggling poo machine :P

Here are a few ways I've heard so far:

1. Put a bun in the oven, literally. Then ask your husband or significant other to retrieve the bun in the oven... See if he gets it.

2. Make fortune cookies - specially make the fortune(s) to say "You will be a father on or around [due date or due month]."

3. If you have other children, make them shirts that say something along the lines of "Future older brother/sister"

I brought my husband home a bib that says "I love my daddy" in a generic brown paper bag the first time. It took him a minute to figure out what I was trying to say because we weren't really trying, but not really not trying either. This time around when I told him I thought I was but wasn't sure, I took a test in the morning before work. Since I get up before he does, I went in early and woke him up and told him I needed him. He of course was dazed from just waking up and I had the test there on the counter for him. Good luck to you and I hope it all works out!

My husband kept getting aggrivated everytime I told him I was pregnant, but with baby #2 he had to go get me a preg test. I was too sick to leave the house. Anyway, if I knew he'd be excited about a baby I would've planned a meal with baby carrots and finger sandwhiches and the little pecan pie bites...have the whole theme of baby sized. Then plan a movie like "Nine Months" or "She's Having a Baby." If he doesn't catch on, then I don't know what to tell you.

i'm hoping to verify i'm pregnant close to a trip so i supplies you my fiance (with any luck husband at that factor) a card from the toddler. My dad unquestionably instructed my mom whilst she became pregnant with my brother! My mom became sitting on the mattress, having taken the attempt without unquestionably questioning she became pregnant. My dad became interior the bathing room readying for paintings, and he asked what the attempt would seem as though if she became pregnant. She reported it would have a plus sign, and he reported, "Yup." (Her reaction became NONONONO! i became in basic terms 9 months previous on the time, haha. She grew to alter into satisfied rapidly afterwards, of path.)

I put my test showing the + sign in the arms of a teddy bear with pink and blue ribbons tied around it's neck. I wrapped it like a gift and got a "Just because I love you" card. He said it was the best gift he'd ever received!

Good luck to you!

When I found out I was pregnant, I freaked and I knew my boyfriend would do the same thing. So with no words I just went to him and handed him a positive test and told him to call me when he has settled down!

I'm trying to conceive as well. I though about putting the pregnancy test in a gift box and leaving it for him somewhere and have a note inside that says "Congratulations, Daddy!"

You can also ask him to fix your plate at dinner. Then look at your plate then look at him like he's crazy. Then when he ask why you looking at him like that say "I'm going to need more than this since I'm eating for two now".
