You mean apart form starting an unlawful war ?

The dixie chicks were some of the few people who had the guts to stand up and be counted and dared to voice a different opinion to your master overlord Bush, and they paid a heavy price for that.

Stupid.

Just my opinion ... but here's what Bush said:

"The Dixie Chicks are free to speak their mind. They can say what they want to say ... They shouldn't have their feelings hurt just because some people don't want to buy their records when they speak out ... "

Again ... just my opinion ... but I think the underlying statement was, "Don't buy their records." Subtle ... but the effect was immediate. No matter what you think of what they Natalie Maines said, as an American she should have the right to say it.

Actually, Natalie Maines said that they were ashamed the president was from Texas (which is their home state) during a performance in France a few years ago. That is why they have suffered so terribly in the American press.
