I have 256k of RAM on my laptop (yes, I'm looking to upgrade). I have figured out how to see how much RAM that the computer has, but not how much I have remaining. Can anyone tell me how to go about checking that. I've installed a couple of programs over the weekend, and now the computer is running very slow. I'm concerned I've run out of available RAM, and I have no viruses or spyware...I've already run the scans. Thank you.

If you're running Windows XP ... Control+Alt+Del ... click on the Task List option ... then click on the "Performance Tab."

It shows current computer performance ... including physical memory.
