My Daughter doctor says my baby maybe to strong for her age because she likes to stand up instead of sitting. She will sit but she can already push up to stand. She not standing on her own but she's very stable. She said her"Tone" is very high for her age so she would like to do an ultrasound of her brain to make sure her muscles are developing on track. I'm not to sure about that I didn't want to expose her to to much because she is only three months but I must get this done before 6months because then her soft spot will then harden. What do you think?

I think I would get another pediatricians opinion.

Pediatric doctors see many, many babies whose mothers would not give them tummy time, nor let them exercise their little muscles. I can see why in comparison to his other patients your daughter seems outside the norm. But not being in the "norm" doesn't mean there is a problem either.

My daughter was "pushing up" around that age, by 5 1/2 months she could sit on her own for hours, by 7 months she could push herself into a sitting position and pull herself up on furniture to stand and walk. My doc just called her a strong little poop.

If you are uneasy about an ultrasound on her little brain, just go get another opinion first. Doctors work for us, not the other way around.

I am a certified Parent Educator. Babies tend to develop on a similar time line, but some follow their own timing; some are faster, some take their time. I would not conduct any unnecessary test to determine that your child is just developing faster than other children. Just enjoy her milestones as they come! It is not unusual (Or bad) for a child to skip a milestone, such as walking without first crawling. I wouldn't worry! My son could stand with support a little before three months.

At this age she won't remember being tested. If there is any potential problem that may develop you should be informed. I would go ahead and do it.

just get it over with. an ultrasound wont hurt your baby. they are just sound waves. feeding your child milk that was microwaved is more dangerous than having her get an ultrasound

If it were my child I would get a second opinion which is a wise idea in this situation.

Deffinitely go with what your babies doc says to do. Thats what they get paid for... when it comes to babies, i think people like to trust family members "experiences" too much. Go with your gutt & your gutt should say go with the doc on this one.
