Yes, I agree there are some very strange cashiers about, I don't know how they ever got the job in the first place.I had a similar problem when I presented 12 bottles of vodka out of my shopping trolley, she wouldn't take the food stamps at all!!
Who do they think they are??? It ruined my meal!!!

simple---if you have food stamps that should mean you need help supporting your family, but if you are buying 96.00 of just t-bone steaks and not regular food than you are probably one of the people that are just living off the system, i can't afford to get 96.00 of steaks and work a full time job so i don't understand how you can.........instead of throwing a party on food stamps maybe you should think about getting a job to support yourself instead of having tax payers that are trying to make it in this world paying for you to have food stamps to throw expensive parties........and you wonder why the cashier looked at you funny---get a clue and a job!!!

Because I think you went overboard in buying t-bone steaks. Most of us can eat hamburger if we want something to eat, and you bought one of the best cuts of steak there is. Did you know that food stamps are there only to help you through the rough times, and not to throw a party .. WE, the tax payers are actually paying for you to eat, better than most of us can afford. Do you get it yet?

First off if you are poor enough to need food stamps you should not be eating T- bone steaks. My husband is a plumber and to have nice steaks like that is a treat. (he makes decent money)
Second off if you are on food stamps you should not be hosting a party of that caliber. You are supposed to be feeding your kids for that month with that money. Why should the taxpayers be supporting you to host such a large party. Many of us can not afford to put on such a shindig. You should feel ashamed to be using the taxpayers money for such an affair. If you must have a party say for one of your kids serve something more affordable. Maybe, hamburgers.

I'm sure she wondered what you were going to eat the rest of the month since you just blew your food stamps on a party. and she was probally thinking you really didn't deserve to be on food stamps and you were faking the system

It probably had nothing to do with the food stamps but rather the $95.00 of T-Bone steaks!

Probably cause him/her was a pig and wanted to eat them him or herself. Don't worry about it - enjoy your steaks. Some people just need a little help once in a while. I had food stamps in the 1970's and I wasn't ashamed to use them. Don't worry about the creep - enjoy your dinner. God Bless you.

There are people who abuses the food stamp program but there are millions of children who depend on it.
There are billionaires who are on the US welfare system too. Do you find it funny that they are using your tax dollars to fly on jets?
