**How long have you been smoking? (How long did you smoke for?) I smoked for 26 years prior to quitting.

**How often do you/did you smoke? Every day for 26 years

**How long does it/did it take for you to finish a packet of cigarettes? (Assuming that you didn’t give them out to anyone!) I smoked a pack and a half a day at the end.

**Are you/ were you addicted to smoking? Absolutely.

**When you first started smoking, which brand did you smoke? **Please be precise. (eg. Marlboro Lights) Marlboro Reds

**What brand do you smoke now/did you smoke last? Virginia Slims Lights 120s

**Did you smoke other brands in between? Yes.

**If yes, which brands? Marlboro Lights 100s and for a brief time Moore 120s

**Why did you switch to your current/last brand? (cheaper, tastes better, stronger, lighter…etc) I don't remember why I switched because I smoked the last brand for so long. I think it might have been because Moore's were not readily available and Virginia Slims were.

***I would like to point out that it has been 15 months and two weeks since I've had a cigarette. They are foul, disgusting things and I will NEVER touch another one. I don't even like to be anywhere near one these days, they make me physically sick.***

I am a female, and I have been smoking 30 years (since I was 12), with one stretch of 5 years when I quit (1993-1998). I smoke a cigarette on a normal day about once every 20-40 minutes. I go through about 1 1/2 packs a day, all by myself, but some do burn up in the ashtray. I am addicted to smoking, and do not want to quit. I started on Marlboro Lights, went to Virginia Slims, then to Marlboro Reds, which I now smoke. I smoke these because I enjoy them, and if I smoke lights I smoke more. I smoke the short cigarettes because when I was working it was easier to finish a cigarette in a short break.

F. 15 years. At the beginning, only at work. At the end, about twice an hour. One pack per day. Addicted? Perhaps. But I actually enjoyed smoking. First brand - True Blue. Last brand - Virginia Slims Menthol 100's. Yes, a few other brands. True Green, Newport 100's. Switched to the last brand - Virginia Slims - because I lived overseas and was unable to purchase Newports there. And by the way - I quit 20 years ago...cold turkey!!

Reason for current brand: switched to DuMaurier because I prefer the taste, continued to lighten the brand as I smoked less
