My due date was last monday. I am just so frustrated with all the pain and the false labor. I have been 1cm for over a month, I lost my mucus plug about 2 weeks ago, and I am 80% effaced. What do you think? lol How long did you go over before they said they would induce you. I am suppose to go in today for a stress test and some other tests. I really hope they induce or atleast schedule one. I am sooo tired of being pregnant, i feel so helpless.

wow..my due date was last monday as well. I am going in on wed. at 1:00am to be induced. I am also only 1cm but fully effaced and have been that way for almost 2 months now. They will probably schedual you to be induced this week. Hope that everything goes well for you!

With my first, I was induced the day I was due. It was because my water broke and I hadn't the first contraction. With my second and third, I was scheduled for induce about 10-14 days early. With the second, it was because of high blood pressure, with the third, because I had a history of big babies and I was dilated 3, 100% effaced and not going anywhere.

I would ask my Dr. to induce me if I were you. They usually don't have a problem with it as long as you are past 38 weeks. Since you are already dilated there is no reason he should say no. I started to dilate early, and asked the Dr. to induce me at 38 weeks every time because I was tired of the pain. They never told me no. (5 times it happened with 3 different Dr.s) Good Luck!

I was induced at 39 weeks with my 2nd child, but had been having contractions for about a week but nothing else would happen and the dr left it up to me.. but of all my friends who went past their due date, they scheduled for no more than 2 weeks after their due date.. 42 weeks is about as far as most drs want you to go.. hope all goes well and enjoy your lil one when they get here... time flies

I went to an appointment on my due date with my first child and he said if i didn't have any progress by the following week, we should schedule an induction. I asked if we can go ahead and schedule it for that following week. Remember, it is your choice to be induced or not and i would think it is your choice as to when also! Call your OB and tell him you are ready. That should get the ball rolling! Good luck and congrats!
