I have had the same thing happen to me... Good question! I made and appt. with my ob and asked this same question. I was examined and was told that it could be a host of things. Ruff intercourse, soft tissue that was torn due to heavy lifting, and dryness.... or a lot of other things. I was given some pain relievers and told if it happened again come back and furture test would be done.

If it happens frequently I would definetly go and get checked out.

Hope it helps!

Well if your partner is significantly "large" and you're young or "tight"? Then that could be the reason for this happening. I'm in my early twenties, and just last weekend bleed from sex, but I believe it was because my bf's erection was VERY large, bigger than normal, and we hadn't had sex in a long time, so I was tighter than normal, and when you put those two together, I figure blood would be the logical outcome. But in your case, it's hard to tell, because there's not much details you've given for me to provide a educated guess.......

A little spotting is all right... they can mean you have a friable (soft) cervix, or that your sex was a little rough. Heavy, menstrual-type bleeding is not okay, and you should consult a doctor.

A previous answerer suggested using lubricant... if you are having pain during sex, this might be a good way to ease it and to prevent tearing that leads to bleeding.

Yes and no Yes you can becuase you are having to hard of sex or no because you are hurting something. If it hurt after or before you have sex then you need to go see a doc but if it a little blood and you don't hurt and it only their for maybe a minute or two the don't worry. But do talk about it when you foe your next doc vis that way if it happin and it bad then he or she already knows you have had thia before now

Do you bleeb like its your period or do you bleed from the tearing of your vaginal wall b/c of lack of lubrication? If its the former, I don't think thats normal and you should tell your doctor about it but if its the latter you need to buy some KY or something. Make sure whatever you buy, that its made for vag lube. Other things can cause infection.
