Everyone is saying he has migraines, but it seems to be more than that. My mother says they are going to kill him off the show soon, so it must be something pretty bad.

"Grissom drops a bomb on his team in this episode. He announces he will be taking a sabbatical. Hence the title -- “Leaving Las Vegas.”

Please note that the above plot details have not been confirmed by CBS, Alliance Atlantis or Bruckheimer Films, and until such time you should treat this information as you would any other rumour. The above information comes from early script drafts and the details of the episodes are liable to change before the episodes are shown. “Leaving Las Vegas” is expected to air on the 7th of December, 2006."

This was something I'd been wondering about. A while back they indicated that he had something wrong with his ear that was causing him to become deaf like his mother was, but then after that, nothing more was said about it. I'm all for tying up loose ends in storylines, but I agree--the heart and soul of the show is Grissom (even at his most pompous with the Shakespear and stuff), and if he goes, there isn't much of a reason to watch.

Well doesn't it have something to do with his hearing?
I remember the episode with the paraglider's when he went for a hearing check up, and he failed.

I like him, and Catherine the best.

If they Kill off Grissom, I will reak havvok on Hollywood!!!

I don't know what his health problem is, but he's taking a break from the show for 7-8 episodes so the actor can do theater in real life. He's isn't going to die on the show.

Well so far I've just seen him have some migranes in the last episode. I thought it was lack of sleep and stress from his job.
Last seasson he had a ear problem and I thought he was going deaf. I really do hope they don't kill him off. I love his character.
