Try putting the piece of clothing in the freezer for awhile, once the gum is frozen it should just break off easily.

freeze it - the gum will crack right off. For clothes, put the whole garment in the freezer - using ice will take longer because the ice melts and keeps the gum a little moist.

You get the iron and ironing board out.
get a brown paper bag and a smal hand towel.
Lay your gum clothing on the board, Place the brown paper bag ontop of the the gum and then the hand towel.
Iron without steam.
The heat will melt and it will stick to the brown paper bag.
Give it a try!
