It really does work if your get a man to urinate around the garden firstly try the corners as this is marking the territory you may think it will smell but it doesnt plus nothing smells worse than foxes urine its an old tradition that does actually work. you can then do this on a regular basis and it will definetely deter them as they hate it also you could check if any nieghbours are leaving out food as ive found this to be a direct cause to others on many occasions (hey but dont get me wrong im not against any form of nature but i keep two lovely rabbits in my town garden so im always on the lookout just incase but they do have there own hutch in a shed with a massive run so they are just fine!

There is a powder that is available from garden centres. The powder is dissolved into warm water to be put into a garden sprayer. Spray the whole area of ground frequented by the foxes including walls and fences. (They can easily jump over these like cats) The spray is harmless to animals and plants and simply displaces the scent that the foxes lay down to mark their territory and discourages them from entering the treated area. It may be necessary to treat the area several times.

We have been having the same problem for years and we are considering installing 6 to 8ft chainlink fencing with the chainlink buried at least 2ft into the ground to prevent burrowing under the chain link. I doubt whether it will prevent the most determined fox, but it may reduce the mess they leave behind.

You could get a hound dog. Also try to fence the garden in, have the fence at least at a foot and a half down into the ground though, because they will burrow down beneath them. Also try some motion detected lighting.

urban foxes are a real problem. but that's just expanding towns and cities for you! i think all products to buy as fox deterrent's have been banned, so sonic deterrent's may be available or maybe your council environment officer could suggest something. borrow a dog? foxes come to homes because they've found food before or something to attract it. maybe a wildlife expert could shed light on it, contact the forestry commission.

If you have a dog set the dog on them...It was said that once fox hunting was banned then foxes would go into cities and towns... if you have a very small child, please make sure you don't let them into your garden by themselves, you don't want them to be hunted by the once hunted..

Get all your male visitors to pee round the perimeter of your garden. It really works but might smell in the summer, but the better idea would be to erect a high mesh fence.the choice is yours

put up a sign?! maybe use one of those machines that send out really high pitched beeps to scare cats away, but the human ear cant pick up, might work for foxes too...
