is there any other musicians that i have not been listed and if you do have any other georgia music musician that are not here can anyone send me more names of the people that were born in georgia and that sings about georgia that i do not know about and if you have any other information on louie armstrong can you answer my questions please?

Ray Charles was born in, and sings about, Georgia.

EDIT for Brandon J: Yeah, I know Charles didn't write that song. I never said he did. ;-) And, by the way, despite the original intentions of the song itself, when Charles sang it he did indeed sing about the state. I believe he said so many times himself. Could be wrong, but pretty sure I'm not. Thanks for your input, though!

Actually Tangus...Ray didn't write "georgia" nor was it writtin about the state. The lyrics were by Stuart Gorrel and music by Hoagy Carmichael. The song was writtin for Hoagy's sister, whos name was Georgia. The song was writtin in 1930 and wasn't adopted by the state as its national song until 1979 when Ray played it for the Ga General Assymbly.
Sry that I did not answer your question dude, I just wanted to correct Tangus. But no biggie Tangus, not a lot of people know this. I only know it cause i'm a music ed. major.
